The RFDS runs a variety of health promotion and education programs that seek to improve the health and lifestyles of people living in remote and rural Australia.
The Flying Doctor also runs a school education program called Look! Up in the Sky. This comprehensive educational resource has been written by a team of practicing and registered teachers. The Education Program teachers students about the significant contribution the Royal Flying Doctor Service has made to Australia's history and educates them on the range of services the Flying Doctor provides 24/7 to people living, working and traveling throughout Australia.
The Royal Flying Doctor Service Victoria provides an Education program for Primary and Secondary students to learn all about the Flying Doctors. We offer a range of training programs including education for doctors and nurses to keep their emergency skills up to date, as well as First Aid training for people living in remote communities. RFDS Central Operations also offers a range of placements for medical and nursing students.Read more
