Volunteers

There are many ways to help support the RFDS with your time or skills and the RFDS is always very grateful to receive assistance from volunteers.

Not everyone is in the position to provide financial support when donating to a charity but we know your time is just as valuable. If you are able to donate some of your time and skill to the Flying Doctor you would be helping us save lives.

Organising a fundraiser for the Flying Doctor is a great way to get involved!

Fundraise

Your help is needed

We count on volunteers to minimise administration costs and ensure that more of the fundraising dollar goes directly towards our primary mission of providing medical care to those who need it the most. From helping out at fundraising events, to providing professional services free of charge, to hand packing the mail, our volunteers help us keep costs down and productivity up.

Office Volunteers

Office Volunteers help us in many ways, from processing donations, to folding mail and helping out at our events. We rely heavily on our wonderful volunteers especially during the lead up to Christmas where our volunteers help pack Christmas cards and Christmas merchandise. Contact us to give a hand.

Professional Services

If you are a professional and would like to provide your services pro bono to the Flying Doctor, your assistance will always be gratefully received. We are keen to hear from professionals in marketing, public relations, design, advertising, legal and more.

Join an Auxillary

Our Auxiliaries are volunteer committees in the community who work tirelessly to raise vital funds for the RFDS. There is a lot of ‘fun’ in fundraising, and people join the groups for many different reasons. We have auxiliaries across the country, some of them operating for more than 80 years.
