The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is investing in its future by offering scholarships in a number of occupational areas and locations to assist professionals who have a desire and passion to work for the RFDS and who need to obtain further skills and qualifications. Places are limited and highly sought after because they offer a unique opportunity to pursue further education and embark on a rewarding career with the RFDS.
We are dedicated to enabling individuals from all socio-economic backgrounds to gain employment with the service and to further their skills and knowledge. Successful applicants will be provided with scholarship funding which is intended as financial assistance towards paying for a specific course to be completed within a set timeframe. Scholarship recipients will also be employed by the RFDS.
The RFDS provides an exciting opportunity for suitably qualified Registered Nurses to access a limited number of Midwifery Scholarships.
A range of other organisations also offer scholarships for study and work in rural and remote areas of Australia that could be applicable to the RFDS. Please visit the National Rural Health Alliance website for more information.
The RFDS also offer Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Student Scholarships. Read more below:
