Launch of face-to-face fundraising

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) has this week launched its face-to-face fundraising campaign.

The team loves meeting new people who want to talk about our work and how they can help keep the Flying Doctor in the sky, so they are very excited to be going ahead with this new fundraising program.

From this week onward, you might see our fundraisers out and about in your local community having a chat about making a regular gift to the Flying Doctor by joining our Support Crew.

New Support Crew members will help increase revenue for the organisation, allowing us to re-invest in our service delivery and grow other life-saving services in the communities we serve.

You’ll be able to spot the teams of RFDS fundraisers in your local shopping centres thanks to their eye-catching blue Support Crew uniform with the prominent Flying Doctor logo as well as their photo ID badge.

You can view the locations of our fundraisers for the next 1-4 weeks. To see if they are in your area raising funds click here.

Anyone can join the Support Crew, and help us save lives and bring primary healthcare to Australians in rural, remote and outback Queensland.

Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) CEO, Meredith Staib said a regular gift was a reliable source of funding that would be used to support the RFDS mission of bringing the very best emergency and primary health care to all Australians, no matter where they live.

“When accidents turn into emergencies, when new life hangs in the balance and when medical support is out of reach, that’s when the Flying Doctor will be there,” Ms Staib said.

“A regular monthly donation is a sure way to ensure we will always be there to help those in need wherever they might live, work or travel in the state.”
