The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) aeromedical simulator - a full replica of the King Air B200 - is available for community events.

Take a seat inside the cockpit and experience what it’s like to fly a life-saving mission in regional, rural and remote Queensland.

Once onboard, you’ll feel like you are really inside the back of an a RFDS plane, soaring over rugged terrain and navigating challenges experienced by our pilots and nurses.

The simulator experience

The simulator experience is designed for school groups and local community events.

It provides a unique opportunity to learn about the vital work of the RFDS.

You will learn more about ‘flying intensive care’ units through an interactive experience.

Local visits

This new venture means you will have the opportunity to bring a taste of the real RFDS experience to your own town. 

With a variety of localised stories about patient transfers and the base history, the simulator will be an exciting and educational opportunity for your town.
