Join the RFDS for a relaxed afternoon of family fun at Picnic with the Planes - RFDS Cairns Base.
Nestled amongst the aircraft, this event welcomes the Cairns and surrounding communities into our home. Overlook the runway which saw 3,100 RFDS landings in the last financial year alone and meet the team who conducted over 17,000 patient consultations and transported 1,300 patients.
From food trucks to lawn games, live music and the RFDS Road Simulator, there is plenty for everyone to enjoy!
Come on down to meet our staff, climb into the cockpit of the RFDS Road Simulator and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a behind the scenes look at a RFDS base, delicious food and ice cold drinks.
