RFDS Aeromedical Simulator
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) provides an educational program for primary schools across the state featuring a full-scale replica of a RFDS King Air B200 aircraft.
The replica aircraft, also known as the RFDS aeromedical simulator, features a cockpit and stretcher beds, allowing students to engage in hands-on learning about the essential services provided by the RFDS in regional, rural and remote Queensland.
RFDS Schools Program
Our RFDS aeromedical simulator is an exciting part of the RFDS Schools Program, specifically designed for primary school students in years three to six. Although we occasionally visit students in other grades and participate in community events, this program is tailored to offer the most meaningful educational experiences for students in these specific grades.
The goal is to help students learn about RFDS services, improve their health literacy, and create fun opportunities to experience what a typical day might be like in an RFDS role.
