Welcome to the Mount Isa Base

On your first day at the Base, you will receive a full orientation, be issued with any necessary IT equipment (such as a laptop and mobile phone), and receive your swipe card for building access. You will also have the opportunity to complete the required e-learning modules. This is also a great time to finalise your ASIC if needed.

If a base vehicle has been allocated for your use, you will receive a confirmation email prior to your arrival containing the vehicle’s registration number, location, and any relevant access instructions. Vehicle keys can be collected from the lockbox located at the airport (the location will be shared with you). Please ensure you return the keys to the lockbox and leave the vehicle in its designated parking area at the end of your use.

Our Administration team will coordinate all your flight and accommodation bookings. You should expect to receive communication from RFDS via email (isalogistics@rfdsqld.com.au) to confirm all your bookings.

Telstra and Optus work in Mount Isa; however, in the more regional areas Telstra is the only provider.
