Getting to the office
Navigate to 5-7 Lobelia Circle, Brisbane Airport, QLD 4008.
Be sure not to navigate to the Royal Flying Doctor Service Brisbane Base at 12 Casuarina St, Brisbane Airport, QLD 4007.
- By car - parking is provided free of charge for all RFDS Brisbane Corporate Office employees. Parking is located at the International Airport car park.
- By train - the Airtrain station is adjacent to the International Terminal. Working in the airport precinct, RFDS staff will be entitled to an Airtrain discount from selected Brisbane City stations.
- By bus - A complimentary Skygate Loop bus service operates 7 days between Skygate and the Domestic and International Terminals. The International Terminal Bus stop is located outside on Level 4 of the International Terminal. Click here to access the Skygate Loop Service Timetable.
To enter the car park
There are 2 entrances to the car park.
- Just after our office building on Lobelia Circle
- When exiting the Airport Drive/Nancy Bird Way roundabout towards the international airport, stay in the middle lane to enter into the car park
At the boom gate
- An Access Card or ASIC is needed to access the car park.
- Tap your card on the black key pad (as shown).
- If you don't have this at the time of commencement, press the button to take a ticket. Press the help button on exit, and let them know you haven't received your pass yet, and they will open the gate for you.
- Park in any unmarked car spaces directly opposite our office building (refer to the green section in the previous image)
From the car park to the office
- Please use available pedestrian pathways and crossings
- Take particular care to ensure vehicles are aware of your presence before crossing the roads
- Enter the building at the top of the stairs using the single glass door (to the right of the glass sliding doors on the left). There is no need to tap your card (just pull the door open).
- We are located on Level 4 (no need to tap your card to enter reception unless outside business hours)
- On your first day, please let reception know when you have arrived so your manager or a team member can greet you.
To exit the car park
- There are 2 exits at both car park pedestrian crossings.
- Tap your Access/ASIC card at the boom gate.
- If you experience any access issues, press the HELP button to contact BAC directly. They may ask you for your registration number and your employer name.
Accessing the office
- Enter the AFP Building at the top of the stairs using the single glass door (to the right of the glass sliding doors on the left)
- There is no need to tap your Access Card during business hours (just pull the door open)
- We are located on Level 4
- On your first day, please ask for your manager at reception
- You will need to use your Access Card at all times to gain access past reception.

Orientation
Your manager will conduct your workplace orientation, which will include:
- A meet and greet
- Site-based fire evacuation walk-through

Upon commencement, you will be invited to attend a Virtual Orientation. This is an opportunity to interact with other new starters within and outside your business unit. You will also meet other Leaders and key stakeholders and hear about a “Day in the Life” of an operation team member.
You will be given the opportunity to visit the RFDS Brisbane Base (12 Casuarina Street, Brisbane Airport) for an informative tour which will take approximately one hour. In your first week with RFDS QLD, you will receive an email invitation with all the relevant details regarding this tour.
Desks
There are two sections of the Brisbane Corporate Office.
- If you are part of the Finance, Business Performance, People Services, Workplace Relations or Clinical Governance teams, you will have a dedicated desk assigned to you.
- All other teams: Hot desking is in place. Initially, your manager will book a desk for your commencement. You will receive more details on how hot desking works once you commence.
Casual Fridays
Currently, Fridays are an approved casual dress day at the Brisbane Corporate Office.
Smart casual attire is to be worn and should be clean, neatly ironed, and in good condition. Please note that uniform items should not be worn together with casual clothing.
Nearby facilities
- International Terminal: There are various eateries and shops only a short walk from the office. Various cafes offer RFDS employees a discount when your Access Card is presented.
- Service Centre: A short drive from the office is the Brisbane Airport Service Centre, which has a petrol station, car wash, car servicing and various eateries.
- DFO: Discount shopping mall with dining options. The RFDS Social Club stocks the main kitchen fridge with frozen meals, drinks and snacks for sale.
Work travel bookings
To arrange work travel, please follow the steps below:
- Seek approval from your manager.
- Complete the Travel Request Form, available on SharePoint under eForms.
- Once completed, submit the form to the Travel Coordinator for review at travel@rfdsqld.com.au.
