Recent independent analysis by Deloitte Access Economics shows the Royal Flying Doctor Service WA is expected to deliver $4.1 billion in social value to Western Australians over the next 30 years, providing a two-to-one return on every dollar invested in the service.
The social value is generated through:
- Existence value, which represents the value WA households are willing to pay to support the RFDS's continued operations.
- Aeromedical retrievals, emergency evacuations and inter-hospital transfers.
- Value created through remote clinics, telehealth, medical chests and more.
