With 25 years experience in the sports science and exercise field Stephen Stone has just been awarded Exercise Physiologist of the year in the ESSA industry awards.

We couldn't be more proud to have Stephen as 2nd in charge and as our physical lead in our Primary Health care program.

The RFDS Tasmania Primary Health Care program delivers free physical, metal and preventative health services to people living with chronic health conditions in 5 local government areas (LGAs) of Tasmania. Stephen is a native Tasmanian and is now using his award recognised skills to help the people of his own state.

Stephen, who was  part of the team who discovered a real need in the community for cardiac rehabilitation, has been integral in designing and finalising the RFDS Tasmania "Prime Mover" program, which will focus on improving cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation across 5 Tasmanian LGAs. The program has since been reviewed and endorsed by leading Tasmanian Cardiologists and Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse consultants. The Prime Mover program will be rolled out during 2018.

Congratulations Stephen. We think you're terrific!
