Broken Hill’s Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Visitor Centre today announced it has been recognised as a 2020 Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best award winner for Tourist Attractions, ranking first out of 31 things to do in Broken Hill. Based on a full year of Tripadvisor reviews, prior to any changes caused by the pandemic, award winners exemplify travellers’ ultimate favourite, top 1% of hospitality businesses around the globe.

“We’re proud to bring the rich history and extensive footprint of the Royal Flying Doctor Service to life for our visitors,” said Head of Tourism at the RFDS, John Larkin.

“The Bruce Langford Visitors’ Centre is a Broken Hill treasure, which brings to light the experience of outback Australians over time, and the remarkable ways in which the RFDS has supported them.

“We thank all our hardworking team members for helping us to reach this incredible achievement,” Mr Larkin said.

The RFDS Visitor Experience in Dubbo also received the award.

“Winners of the 2020 Travellers’ Choice Awards should be proud of this distinguished recognition,” said Kanika Soni, Chief Commercial Officer at Tripadvisor. “Although it’s been a challenging year for travel and hospitality, we want to celebrate our partners' achievements. Award winners are beloved for their exceptional service and quality. Not only are these winners well-deserving, they are also a great source of inspiration for travellers as the world begins to venture out again.”
