Proudly serving Australians since 1928, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) provides emergency road, aeromedical and primary health services for people in rural and remote Australia. Patient Transport offers Non-Emergency Patient Transport primarily in Victoria and New South Wales. We work with a large fleet of ambulances and support our transport services with RFDS aircraft.
Patient Transport provides clinical care for people travelling from home to hospital, hospital to hospital and hospital to home, as well as transport to and from specialist clinics.
About the role
Flying Doctor Mobile Patient Care are currently seeking applications from a Registered Paramedic or a Registered Nurse in Bankstown. Key responsibilities of the role include:
• Provide compassionate, patient-centred care across a range of acuity levels, ensuring clinical interventions are safe, effective, and aligned with RFDS policies.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with dispatch and healthcare teams to support safe, timely patient transport and accurate handovers.
• Lead by example, mentoring junior staff and maintaining professional registration and competencies through ongoing education and accreditation.
• Uphold safety and infection control standards, ensuring vehicles and equipment are ready, and work practices meet regulatory and organisational requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, using resources efficiently, participating in quality
This role base rate is $34.63 per hr, plus additional benefits.
Qualifications and experience required:
- AHPRA Registration in Paramedicine or Nursing
- Valid NSW Full Driver’s Licence
- NEPT experience is a plus, but not essential.
