2024 Going the Distance Gala Dinner

Please join us at RFDS Victoria's Going the Distance Gala Dinner, as we explore Victoria's role as a pioneer of aviation and celebrate 1934, an extraordinary year for Victoria and RFDS.

In the middle of The Great Depression, the eyes of the world shifted to Melbourne as the destination for a groundbreaking air race. In that same year, in a back room of the Commercial Travellers’ Association on Flinders Street, John Flynn and his dedicated team worked tirelessly to draft a constitution for a new organisation that would ultimately be known as the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Hosted by television presenter Michael Rowland and featuring the historical accounts of the era from Australian entertainer and comedian Titus O'Reily, this is not a night to be missed!
