RFDS Clermont Clinic

Clermont residents can now access local GP appointments through the RFDS GP Clinic, delivered under an interim stabilisation arrangement commissioned by the Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN).

The interim service is fully funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability, and Ageing, ensuring all Medicare-eligible GP services are provided at no out-of-pocket cost to patients.

To book a face-to-face appointment, use the 'Book Appointment' button. For telehealth appointments, call 07 4988 5500. 

Accessing previous medical records

Having access to your previous medical records helps your RFDS GP better understand your health history and provide safe, coordinated care.

If you have a copy of your medical records or recent health information, please bring it with you to your first appointment.

If you do not have a copy of your records, RFDS can request them on your behalf from a GP or healthcare provider you have previously attended, whether in Clermont or elsewhere.

To do this, we'll need your consent. A consent form is included in the New Patient Form, which you'll be asked to complete when booking an appointment online. If you book your appointment over the phone, RFDS can email you the consent form to complete. Alternatively, the form can be completed at the clinic from 17 August.

RFDS GPs

Our GPs have a strong commitment to improving health outcomes for rural and remote communities. They provide comprehensive care across a wide range of health needs, support patients and families through every stage of life, and understand the additional challenges of managing health in an environment where access to specialist services is limited.

To support continuity of care and patient choice, RFDS is rostering the same four GPs on a regular four-week cycle during the interim period. Each GP will provide one week of face-to-face services, followed by one week of telehealth services.
