Leave a Gift in Your Will
One gift launched our first flight. Yours can keep care flying.
Nearly 100 years ago, the Flying Doctor’s very first mission was only possible because someone chose to leave a gift in their Will. That single act of compassion began a legacy of lifesaving care one that your own gift can help carry for generations to come.
Why your gift matters
Every 7 minutes, the Flying Doctor provides care to someone in need across Queensland. Our flight nurses and doctors can reach them in time because people like you believe no one should be too far from help. Not now, not ever.
Leaving a gift in your Will keeps that promise alive—a story of care and courage that began almost a century ago.
1. Keep our aircraft flying
Your gift can help purchase, maintain, and fit out the aircraft that bring life-saving care to remote communities.
2. Deliver essential health care
You can help provide primary health care services to families and communities who would otherwise go without.
3. Build for the future
Your support can strengthen vital infrastructure, like new and upgraded bases so the Flying Doctor can keep care moving across Queensland.

Paula and Pete started the conversation. Will you?
Paula grew up in a family that believed in helping others. As a young teacher in country towns, she saw how much remote communities rely on the Flying Doctor. Pete knew it too—he’d taught in places where the Flying Doctor was the only doctor.
Now retired, they feel grateful for easy access to care. “If I got sick, Pete would have me at the emergency room in seven minutes,” Paula says. “But outback families don’t have that luxury.”
That sense of fairness and care shaped their decision to leave a gift in their Will to the RFDS. “We’ve always believed in looking out for people. This is our way of making sure help is there when someone needs it.”
