The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) (Queensland Section) is levelling up its charity streaming initiative, Change the Game, with the campaign returning for its second year to unite gamers, streamers, and content creators.

Following a successful debut year, the 2026 campaign is set to expand its reach within the gaming and streaming space, offering creators the tools and support they need to run engaging charity streams across Twitch.

Open to streamers of all varieties, Change the Game invites creators to go live, bring their online communities together, and turn streaming into real-world impact. Streamers have praised the initiative for its hands-on support and community-first approach.

“I had so much fun doing this fundraiser, and the support from the RFDS community was incredible,” said a participating streamer.

“The team went above and beyond, and my community loved being part of something that made a real difference.”

Running from 21 February to 21 March, Change the Game calls on streamers, gamers and content creators across Australia to turn their livestreams into a force for good, raising vital funds to provide essential mental health support to rural and remote communities in Queensland.

Each year, approximately one in five, or 960,000, rural and remote Australians experience mental challenges.

While data suggests the rates are similar in major cities, the accessibility of mental health services significantly differs in rural and remote areas.

Farmers, young men, the elderly and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are at the highest risk of suicide and self-harm, making the services RFDS offers in Queensland vital.

“Change the Game shows how powerful gaming communities can be when they come together for good,” said Denby Mackenzie, Change the Game Coordinator.

“Every donation and every stream contributes directly to providing essential care where it’s needed most.”

Unlike traditional fundraisers, Change the Game gives creators complete freedom over how they participate, from speedruns and multiplayer marathons to casual streams with donation incentives and chat challenges.

The RFDS (Queensland Section) invites streamers of all levels to go live, rally their online communities, and turn streaming into real-world impact.

Registrations for Change the Game are now open, and creators of all sizes are encouraged to get involved.

Participants receive a welcome pack, access to a dedicated streamer toolkit, fundraising support, and a connected community on Discord, making it easy for first-time and experienced streamers alike to get involved.

Fundraisers can choose their own games, formats, and incentives, giving creators the freedom to engage their audiences in ways that feel authentic and fun.

By joining the movement, participants not only help fund vital healthcare services but also become part of a growing network that champions the positive impact of gaming.
