Description
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) is seeking a collaborative, self-motivated, and experienced application support specialist to join our Digital and Technology Team as the Clinical Systems Application Specialist. This role is a critical support for our Medical, Nursing and Clinical services teams to connect and deliver better health access and outcomes for regional, rural and remote communities.
The Clinical Systems Application Specialist is responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of applications and technology that support RFDS' critical clinical business systems. It is essential to establish and strengthen strong relationships with key stakeholders to effectively manage incidents, requests and problems related to clinical systems. You will support:
- Incident and problem management
- System availability and capacity management
- Configuration Release and Change Management
The RFDS (Queensland Section) and RFDS (South Eastern Section) collaborate to offer shared D&T support and maintenance services. A unified team from both sections works together as a Shared Service to provide top-notch services to both organisations by utilising their combined expertise.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an application support specialist who is a team player, communicates openly and confidently with all stakeholders, and works collaboratively with the wider RFDS team. In addition, you will have formal qualifications in Information Technology or a closely related field, and you will demonstrate-
- Complex problem-solving skills and ability to explain technical issues and solutions in easy-to-understand language
- Experience implementing and supporting clinical business systems
- Experience supporting clinical systems SQL databases and industry-standard messaging technologies
- Supporting both front and back (end to end) components of our Clinical applications
- The ability to export & review application log files
- Hands-on experience with scripting and automation tools
- Experience with ITSM Ticket Management, including queue management and triage
