Description
We are looking for a Clinical Quality & Improvement Officer to join our Clinical Governance Team in a permanent, part-time (0.8 FTE) position, based in Brisbane. You will support the Clinical Governance Manager in implementing and operationalising our Clinical Governance Framework, to improve and maintain clinical quality standards across the organisation.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in coordinating clinical accreditations, such as NSQHS and AGPAL, ensuring that our clinical practices meet the highest standards of excellence. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to foster a culture of clinical excellence and ensure the effective implementation of our Clinical Governance Framework and Consumer Engagement Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead clinical quality programs and health service standards accreditations across all clinical areas
- Lead clinical audits across the business
- Support NSQHS Standard 2: Partnering with Consumers and all consumer engagement across RFDS
- Assist in organising and coordinating clinical case review meetings
- Contribute to developing and reviewing policies and procedures
- Coordinate safety, quality, and clinical risk activities
- Maintain and enhance RFDS clinical governance systems and databases
- Oversee the restructuring and development of clinical auditing processes
To excel in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant health related discipline with AHPRA registration (desired but not essential)
- Experience as a clinician (desired but not essential)
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Strong background in patient safety or clinical leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work independently and achieve outcomes
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with internal auditing or a willingness to learn
- Familiarity with health service standards and accreditation processes
