Description
The Line Maintenance Coordinator is an opportunity for a B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) to be responsible for supporting the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) 24/7 operation by managing all defects for Brisbane based aircraft and transiting aircraft from the wider Queensland fleet by ensuring all MEL items and operational AOG defects are rectified on transit at Brisbane. This role will also support base associated aircraft scheduled maintenance as required. This role is essential to RFDS Queensland meeting expected “on time performance” (OTP) with minimal impact to aircraft shift availability due to technical defects. This will help minimise Direct Maintenance Costs (DMCs) and ensure safe, compliant operational performance of the RFDS Fleet in service of the people of Queensland.

Your key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Ensure that all Line maintenance is planned in association with the maintenance watch and senior base engineer for Brisbane base and transiting network AOGs are rectified to allow essential aircraft to service RFDS QLD contracts.
- Conduct weekly scheduled aircraft line maintenance checks of aircraft in a timely manner and without impact to aircraft network availability
- Manage Aircraft inventory including; parts, store, database and compliance with storage conditions set out in MOE
- Ensure compliant management, storage and usage of tooling and GSE
To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:
- Minimum 5 years aircraft maintenance experience
- Proven experience with avionics packages specific to RFDS QLD aircraft types
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
- Ability to pick up new computer applications.
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment in relation to Aircraft Maintenance
- Maintenance control experience
- Supply chain management experience
- CASA PT66 B2 License on RFDS QLD aircraft types
