Description
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is seeking a Service Delivery Coordinator to join our South Eastern Operations- Shared Services Team. As part of this role, you will provide daily user support to RFDS employees for Information & Communication Technology (ICT) incidents and requests including new asset build and deployment, first-level troubleshooting and adherence to service management practices. In addition, you will;
- Provide day-to-day management and provisioning of ICT hardware, software and telecommunications assets
- Support the RFDS team with troubleshooting by phone, in person and through the management of tasks in an internally maintained ITSM
- Provide first-level support to users, develop knowledge articles, automate processes, and provide staff training
- Ensure the ICT environment is compliant with best practices and ITIL service management standards
- Create clear internal operating procedures detailing the responsibilities and accountabilities of internal ICT and third-party vendors
- Identify and contribute to business improvements
- Provide ‘on call’ 24-hour support for one week every 6 weeks (additional allowances are applicable)
- On occasion travel within QLD and NSW (negotiated with respect to availability)
This role is a permanent, full-time role based in Broken Hill, NSW.
The RFDS (Queensland Section) and RFDS (South Eastern Section) collaborate to offer shared Digital and Technology (D&T) support and maintenance services. A unified team from both sections work together in a single Shared Service to provide top-notch services to both organisations by utilising our combined expertise.
Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a Service Desk Coordinator who is a positive team player, highly analytical and willing to go above and beyond in delivering solutions for our end users. In addition, you will have a diploma level qualification in Information Technology and ITIL Foundation Certification and you will demonstrate-
- 3 + years experience in ICT Support, Helpdesk or Service Desk, and Customer Service
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and fault/problem resolution
- Confident communication skills (both verbal and written) with a customer-focused approach to providing support at all levels
- Strong understanding of ITIL Framework and IT Service Management
- Working knowledge of ICT Procurement and Asset Management practices
- Experience with Office 365, Jira and SharePoint

From Broken Hill, we provide 24-hour emergency retrievals and operate a network of primary health clinics where patients can access community health nurses, dentists, mental health and allied health professionals. The Clive Bishop Medical Centre is located on the base and offers non-emergency treatment in the areas of family medicine — including immunisations and children's health checks plus men's and women's health — as well as management plans for chronic illness, wound care, skin checks and minor surgical procedures.
