Full Job Description:
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) has an exciting opportunity for an Administration Officer - Medical Chest to join on a part time, 6-month max-term contract (0.5 FTE/ 38 hours per fortnight), with the potential to extend! We are happy to discuss a flexible roster arrangement, e.g., 5 days per fortnight, or reduced hours across each day.
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Medical Chest is a unique program of 1,200 medical chests located throughout the State of QLD. The Medical Chests contain a variety of first aid items, medications, and pain relief. These items allow patients to be treated for a range of medical conditions including antibiotics for infections, pain relief prior to medical evacuations and more.
The Administration Officer- Medical Chest coordinates the ordering, replenishment, distribution and monitoring of our Medical Chests and their contents, for people living in rural and remote Queensland.
We are looking for an Administration Officer who likes working in a small team and is self-motivated.
Your duties will include:
- Processing of all medical chest paperwork in a timely manner
- Liaise with suppliers to replenish items as ordered by medical chest holders
- Respond to telephone and email enquiries regarding the medical chest program
- Monitor and track medical chests, contents and returned medications through efficient data entry
- Conduct regular audits to ensure all chests and contents are accounted for and that expired monitored medications have been returned
- Maintain contact with external suppliers
You will also possess:
- Experience in administration and customer service
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite applications
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent time management skills with demonstrated ability to establish priorities and manage workloads within deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and achieve goals
- High attention to detail
- The ability to pick up new systems and databases quickly
