Job Description:
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Advisor - Virtual & Pre-hospital Care, to join on a part time, (0.25 FTE/ 19 hours per fortnight), max-term contract ending June 2024, with the potential to extend.
This role can be worked from any operational RFDS base in Queensland.
Focusing on our virtual health service, the Senior Advisor provides expert guidance and support to enhance the delivery, quality and integration of care in rural and remote communities serviced by RFDS.
Reporting to the Executive General Manager – Virtual Health & Clinical Informatics, you will engage in the development and delivery of programs and educational materials, review policies, procedures and manuals, and support contemporary best practice. You will also contribute advice and support to the medical supplies and equipment content of the RFDS Medical Chests and Rescue Swags.
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role, you will be a passionate and dedicated individual and meet the following specific criteria:
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Minimum of University Degree in relevant field, such as Medicine, Nursing, Paramedicine, Health Science or a related Healthcare discipline
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
- 7-10 years relevant experience
- In-depth knowledge of prehospital care protocols, guidelines & emerging trends
- Familiarity and experience in the rural, remote and resource poor environments
