Description
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is looking for an Administration Officer – Aviation and Logistics. The Administration Officer provides effective and efficient logistical support to the Flight Operations team.
We currently have Permanent, Part-time positions available at the RFDS Brisbane Base. This opportunity provides an excellent opportunity for work-life balance, allowing you to work 2 to 3 days per week during standard office hours, from Monday-Friday.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a proactive team player who is focused on providing good outcomes for our aviation team and can:
- Undertake data entry relating to all pilot flight training and checking, and flight crew licensing and medicals
- Deliver on agreed KPIs
- Provide administrative support for Aviation Leaders by liaising with internal and external stakeholders, preparing documents, and organising meetings, providing agendas and taking minutes
- Work with the team to address and respond to inquiries from the pilot group and other areas of the business in a timely manner
- Schedule and manage bookings and related disruptions for the Simulator, and Travel and accommodation
To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:
- 1-3 years experience in an Administrative Support, Service, or relevant position
- Experience supporting an operational management team
- Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong troubleshooting and fault/problem resolution skills
- Excellent communications skills (both verbal and written) with a diverse groups of individuals
- Experience with Office 365, ServiceNow and SharePoint

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. In Queensland, the RFDS employs approximately 550 people with positions ranging from pilots, doctors, nurses, engineers, allied health professionals, and a variety of administration and support services roles.
The RFDS delivers a broad range of essential healthcare services to rural and remote communities, as well as emergency retrieval services. Brisbane Base is exclusively an emergency aeromedical base, providing retrieval and inter-hospital transfers. The terminal facilitates the receipt of patients transported to Brisbane by the RFDS, as well as the receipt of patients transported by other aeromedical providers such as Queensland and NSW Ambulance Services. Clinical coordination is provided by Queensland Health-employed doctors and aircraft tasking is from Retrieval Services Queensland.
