Description
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) are leaders in providing access to aeromedical and primary health care services to people in remote, rural, and regional locations. We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our Finance & Corporate Services team on a permanent, full-time capacity, based at our Brisbane Corporate Office!
Internally, this role is known as the Finance Business Partner, and provides high levels of support to key internal stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
As the Management Accountant, you will:
- Prepare the consolidated annual budget and ad-hoc re-forecasting for all RFDS entities
- Compile monthly management reports tracking financial performance against budgets
- Develop financial reporting for RFDS strategic initiatives including variance analysis and commentary
- Support the business through consolidated analytics, insights, gap analysis and commentary for RFDS Board reporting to support the delivery of business targets and initiatives
- Create KPI and dashboard reporting of both financial and non-financial information
- Assist with end of year audit as required
- Provide support to RFDS Managers on monthly business review reporting
- Collaborate on improvement initiatives for cost effectiveness
- Contribute to the development of the annual budget, which will include some travel to remote stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or similar
- 5 to 7 years relevant experience, with previous Not for Profit experience highly regarded
- Advanced financial systems experience preferably using Technology1
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to use initiative
- Proven stakeholder engagement and management skills
- Ability to work across and influence at all levels including Executive and Senior Management.
