Are you an Administration Officer looking to provide support for a vital local service provider?
This role is for you!
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Mount Isa Base is seeking an Administration Officer to provide effective and efficient administrative and reception support for day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will be confident, friendly, and highly organised. Your tasks will include;
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, faxes and freight
- Complete stationery orders for the Base
- Complete uniform orders for the Base
- Provide administration support for the Base vehicles
- Cover reception and answer and transfer phone calls to appropriate personnel
- Complete data entry in an accurate and timely manner
- Organise meetings and catering as required
- Provide general support for Medical Officers, Flight Nurses, Engineers, and Pilots including travel and accommodation bookings.
Who are we looking for?
You will possess multitasking skills, be a team player, have a cheerful demeanour, and be thorough and detailed. In addition, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in reception/ administration and customer service
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite applications
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent time management skills with demonstrated ability to establish priorities and manage workloads within deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and achieve goals
- The ability to pick up new systems and databases quickly
This is a full-time position working standard office hours from Monday to Friday and will be offered as a 12-month contract.

The RFDS Mount Isa Base provides medical consultations, aeromedical retrievals, and primary healthcare clinics, which include general practice, child and family health, Aboriginal health, mental health, and health promotion.
