About the role:
Due to exciting organisational and strategic growth, a brand-new opportunity has become available to join our award-winning Fundraising and Philanthropy Team as a Fundraising – Data Analyst!
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based at our Brisbane Corporate Office, with the added flexibility to work from home. As the Data Analyst, you will translate data into useful and transformational insights, with a high level of detail, accuracy and data integrity to support growth, innovation and continual improvement within Fundraising and Philanthropy.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and produce high quality and useable data insight reporting to enable fundraising revenue performance and improve supporter experience
- Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in data sets to provide insight to key queries
- Use reporting and business intelligence tools to gain insights from supporter and campaign data and generate and maintain monthly reports and dashboards on the performance of data products to support data driven decision making and program improvement and optimisation
- Develop and deliver post campaign analysis in collaboration with fundraising program managers
- Facilitate benchmarking analysis and produce required data exports
- Actively contribute to business process improvement initiatives that leverage supporter insights
- Assist in the development of campaign modelling and forecasting
- Establish dashboard reporting for campaign and program performance
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance data analytics and insights to improve supporter communications, grow fundraising revenue and enhance supporter experience
- Produce and maintain data analysis and reporting processes and documentation
- Maintain knowledge of fundraising data analytics, benchmarks and use of insights within the fundraising industry
Who are we looking for?
You take pride in your work describe yourself as a collaborative team member, as well as meeting the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Data Analytics, Statistics, IT, or Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years relevant experience
- Advanced skills in Excel and data analytics programs including PowerBI, Crystal Reports, Tableau, knowledge and understanding of SQL, and working with CRM databases
- Experience with data modelling and forecasting
- Background in business analytics and/or Data Analysis
- Demonstrated experience in segmentation and extracting target data for campaigns
- Demonstrated experience in producing and presenting insightful reports and analysis on donor/customer behaviours
- Demonstrated ability working within a cohesive high-performing team and meeting their data and system requirements at a high level
- Ability to learn quickly, work independently and demonstrate high levels of initiative and proactive problem solving

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is one of the world's largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations. In Queensland, the RFDS employs more than 500 people ranging from pilots, doctors, nurses, engineers, allied health professionals, and a variety of administration and support services roles.
RFDS operates from nine operational bases located in Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Charleville, Mount Isa, Longreach, and Roma. The RFDS also delivers a broad range of essential healthcare services to rural and remote communities and emergency retrieval services.
