Description

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) is looking for an experienced, self-motivated, and engaging individual to join the Digital and Technology team in the role of Senior Project Manager. As part of the Digital Transformation program, this unique opportunity will support RFDS's future growth and optimisation.

The Senior Project Manager is a full-time position on a maximum term contract of 12 months based in Brisbane. Digital & Technology offers hybrid working arrangements with a mixture of home and office work, as well as regular team days.

Key Responsibilities
A key function of this role is to oversee strategic growth projects in the Digital Transformation Program, which include streamlining systems, integrating them, and incorporating new technology. The Senior Project Manager will:

  • Be the key point of liaison between the project team, business management, and key stakeholders
  • Use project management tools to plan, monitor, and report to the stakeholders on the progress of the project
  • Plan and oversee a project from the initial ideation stage through to the completion
  • Identify and mitigate risks that may impact the successful delivery of the project
  • Provide effective leadership to the project team and manage the scheduling of tasks and performance of resources seconded into the project
  • There will also be a requirement to travel both within Queensland and interstate for this role

Who are we looking for?

  • Formal qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
  • Extensive experience leading large projects in a complex business environment
  • Experience in delivering ICT Infrastructure Projects
  • Certification as a Project Management Practitioner
  • Highly engaging communication skills
  • The ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
  • Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
  • Strong change management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build an engaged, collaborative, and committed project team
