Description
Due to internal promotion, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) is looking for a highly experienced, self-motivated, and engaging individual to join the Digital and Technology team in the role of Senior Project Manager. As part of the Digital Transformation program, this unique opportunity will support RFDS's future growth and optimisation.
The Project Manager is a full-time position on a maximum term contract of 12 months based in Brisbane. Digital & Technology offers hybrid working arrangements with a mixture of home and office work, as well as regular team days.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will oversee strategic growth projects in the Digital Transformation Program that focus on streamlining systems, integrating them, and utilising new technology.
The Senior Project Manager will:
- Be the key point of liaison between the project team, business management, and key stakeholders
- Use project management tools to plan, monitor, and report to the stakeholders on the progress of the project
- Plan and oversee a project from the initial ideation stage through to completion
- Identify and mitigate risks that may impact the successful delivery of the project
- Provide effective leadership to the project team and manage the scheduling of tasks and performance of resources seconded into the project.
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
- Tertiary degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
- Extensive experience leading large projects in a complex business environment
- Experience in delivering HR related projects including payroll and workforce management
- Certification as a Project Management Practitioner
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Strong problem solving and time management skills
- Strong change management skills
- Demonstrated ability to build a strong committed project team
