Description
Due to growth, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) is seeking a highly experienced and self-motivated individual to join the Digital and Technology team as a Senior Systems Administrator.
This position is responsible for the coordination of day-to-day activities within Operations, ensuring that key systems are operating as they should. The role will be responsible for maintenance, configuration and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and networking equipment. As part of the Digital Transformation program, this unique opportunity will support RFDS's future growth and optimisation.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead service delivery support efforts
- Handling of escalations from service desk & within the operations team
- Stakeholder and relationship management
- Assist with direction of infrastructure objectives
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
- Microsoft MCSA certification(s), or proven equivalent experience
- Basic networking certifications, or proven equivalent experience
- 5+ years’ experience in ICT operations and/ or support functions
- Ability to travel
- Ability to work autonomously and as a collaborative team member

The Queensland Section Corporate Office is located at the Brisbane International Airport, and RFDS operates from nine operational bases located in Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Charleville, Mount Isa, Longreach and Roma.
The RFDS also delivers a broad range of essential healthcare services to rural and remote communities, as well as emergency retrieval services.

RFDS (Queensland Section) works with vulnerable patients in remote parts of Queensland and provides an essential service to many regional and remote communities. To ensure the health and safety of our staff, our patients, and these communities, as well as to manage the risks involved in service delivery and COVID-19 transmission in these communities and our workplaces, our staff are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19. If you are a successful candidate the requirement to be vaccinated against COVID-19, including maintaining any recommended booster requirements, will be a term of your employment, as will the requirement to provide proof of vaccination.
The successful applicant will need to undertake a police check, hold an ASIC and undertake initial and random drug and alcohol testing. Intrastate travel, inclusive of overnight stays is also a requirement of this role.
