Description

A newly created role has prompted the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) to seek an experienced Organisational Development Specialist to join the team.

The Organisational Development Specialist is responsible for the analysis, development, implementation and evaluation of strategic and operational people programs. A core part of this role includes delivering positive values-aligned cultural outcomes and improved capacity and capability of RFDS leaders and people.

The Organisation Development Specialist is a Part time role located in Brisbane, on a 12-month contract.

Key Responsibilities
In this role you will:

  • Scope, design, develop and deliver allocated organisational development programs and people change initiatives
  • Analyse needs for capability and culture, and advise on and determine fit for purpose solutions that are sustainable, innovative and culturally fit
  • Support the organisation with creation and project management of strategic people initiatives
  • Plan and support the communication, change management and promotion of learning and organisational development programs to encourage engagement and effective change management
  • Facilitate group-based forums in support of initiatives and influence and involve stakeholders in forming solutions
  • Provide consultancy and advice to organisational projects in delivering organisational change
Who are we looking for?
As an experienced Organisation Development professional, you will bring to the role:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field with experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated change management experience in analysing, planning and managing people change
  • Ability to develop positive relationships and communicate with influence at executive and senior management levels, as well as with all staff at multiple levels
  • Engaging and confident group training facilitation skills
  • Ability to work productively while managing multiple tasks and navigating competing priorities to meet allocated deadlines
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a small multi-skilled and generalist team and contribute across other aspects of HR and OD when required

About the RFDS (Queensland Section)
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. In Queensland, the RFDS employs over 500 people ranging from pilots, doctors, nurses, engineers, allied health professionals, and a variety of administration and support services roles. The Corporate Office is located at the Brisbane International Airport, and RFDS operates from nine operational bases located in Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Charleville, Mount Isa, Longreach and Roma.
The RFDS also delivers a broad range of essential healthcare services to rural and remote communities, as well as emergency retrieval services.
