Full Job Description:

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) is a leader in providing access to aeromedical and primary health care services to people in regional, rural, and remote locations. Our emergency retrieval service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, delivering the finest care to more than 12,000 Queenslanders each year.

In addition to aeromedical retrievals of the critically ill or injured, the RFDS also delivers a broad range of essential primary and preventative healthcare services, including telehealth, mental health, oral health and health promotion.

With a refreshed vision and a new look Corporate Affairs team, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Content Advisor, focused on creating amazing, purposeful content for the RFDS brand.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to tell incredible stories, involving lifesaving emergency retrievals and essential primary healthcare services improving the lives of those living in rural and remote Queensland communities.

The Senior Content Advisor will;

  • Deliver exceptional writing skills, including the ability to write for a variety of different audiences and mediums
  • Create and deliver a strong content strategy for specific target audiences
  • Create engaging content for all corporate publications and marketing collateral i.e.- annual report
  • Prepare presentations and speeches for RFDS executives and senior leaders as required
  • Create and implement an internal communication framework
  • Provide internal communication support for the CEO and other business leaders
  • Maintain Workplace by Facebook as a key internal communication and collaboration tool
  • Lead a small team of communication specialists
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Media, Marketing, Journalism, Communication, or a closely related field
  • Strong communication and content writing skills
  • Demonstrated experience in social media and web content creation
  • Demonstrated experience in successful collaborations on projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in Google analytics and interpreting the data to improve future results
  • Previous experience in a not-for-profit/human services environment (Desirable)
  • Experience in content management systems e.g., SharePoint, CRM database, HubSpot and campaign monitoring software utilisation (Desirable)
