Full Job Description:
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) is a leader in providing access to aeromedical and primary health care services to people in regional, rural, and remote locations. Our emergency retrieval service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, delivering the finest care to more than 12,000 Queenslanders each year.
In addition to aeromedical retrievals of the critically ill or injured, the RFDS also delivers a broad range of essential primary and preventative healthcare services, including telehealth, mental health, oral health and health promotion.

With a refreshed vision and a new look Corporate Affairs team, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Public Relations Advisor.
As the Senior Public Relations Advisor, you will:
- Produce and distribute compelling media releases and stories
- Engage with the media to promote campaigns and increase brand exposure
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders
- Support internal stakeholders when participating in media interviews
- Monitor and evaluate media to gauge success and identify improvements to strengthen the organisation’s communication goals
- Have the opportunity to travel outback Queensland as part of media activities and exciting community events
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a naturally collaborative team player who thrives on contributing to the efforts of the wider Corporate Affairs team.
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
- Qualifications in Journalism, Media, Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, or a closely related field
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Demonstrated experience in successful collaborations on projects with multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in liaising with media and journalists
- Experience in working with agencies and maximising results
