Description
A newly created role has prompted the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) to seek an experienced Learning & Development Specialist to join the team.
The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for the administration, coordination, delivery and reporting of learning and development programs. A core part of this role includes managing and maintaining the learning management system (LMS) and organisational compliance training framework. In this role you will;
- Provide administration and maintenance of the organisation’s LMS
- Maintain the compliance training framework in consultation with relevant stakeholders
- Collate data from the LMS and other systems to generate user-friendly, clear and meaningful reports
- Manage the Learning Inbox
- Coordinate delivery of learning and organisational development programs and workshops
- Coordinate and facilitate programs relating to onboarding and induction
- Administer the service recognition program and support the administration of the reward and recognition program.
- Design and develop resources and guidance materials
Who are we looking for?
As an experienced L&D professional, you will bring to the role:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field with experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in using Microsoft computer software particularly excel for reporting user-friendly, meaningful reports for managers, and Word and PowerPoint for the development of learning materials and documentation.
- The ability to learn and navigate systems quickly, accurately and confidently, to deliver the compliance and other training needs of the organisation.
- Engaging and confident group training facilitation skills
- Professional and effective stakeholder relationship skills to create win-win outcomes
- Ability to work productively while managing multiple tasks and navigating competing priorities to meet allocated deadlines
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a small multi-skilled and generalist team

About the RFDS (Queensland Section)
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. In Queensland, the RFDS employs approximately, 450 people ranging from pilots, doctors, nurses, engineers, allied health professionals, and a variety of administration and support services roles. The Corporate Office is located at the Brisbane International Airport, and RFDS operates from nine operational bases located in Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Charleville, Mount Isa, Longreach and Roma.
The RFDS also delivers a broad range of essential healthcare services to rural and remote communities, as well as emergency retrieval services.
