Description
Join the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) as a Supporter Engagement Officer and drive our fundraising culture with the purpose of solidifying relationships and securing long-term support.
About the role
This is an exciting career opportunity to join our award-winning Fundraising & Philanthropy team, on a permanent, full-time basis. Working at our Brisbane Base and Corporate Office, with the added flexibility to work and travel around Southeast Queensland.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for you to deliver your supporter engagement skills within the Fundraising & Philanthropy team, as well as contribute to further opportunities that arise within the wider RFDS community. Developing, supporting, and caring for both our internal and external stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage and coordinate bookings for tours and speaking engagements
- Deliver high-quality RFDS Base tours
- Lead high-quality speaking engagements across South-East Queensland on behalf of the RFDS
- Coordinate with Fundraising & Philanthropy team members to plan and implement supporter events
- Assisting supporters with enquiries over the phone and via email
- Proactively engage with existing and prospective supporters to offer engagement opportunities with the RFDS
We are seeking a friendly individual with excellent customer service skills and an empathetic approach. You will be systems savvy and display:
- Previous experience working in a supporter-facing role
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Previous data entry experience with the ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong ability in public speaking
- Ability to respond to customer queries in a courteous, prompt, accurate and confident manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work and problem solve, autonomously, while collaborating and contributing to wider team goals
- Excellent relationship building skills and ability to adapt communication style
- A passion for delivering exceptional supporter experience at every level
- Ability to proactively seek opportunities to engage existing and prospective supporters
