Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Charleville Base is looking for Administration Officers to join the team. You will support the day-to-day operations of the Base through effective and efficient administrative and reception support. Currently, we have two positions available to support the team, one casual and one part-time.

Our vacant casual role is perfect for those looking for flexibility in their work schedule, but do not want an ongoing roster. This role supports our Administration team when they are on leave or when we are supporting our community with extra services.

If you are seeking a position that offers a more regular schedule, then our permanent, part-time position may be the next step for you. This role is 0.5 FTE and can be worked 5 days per fortnight or we are happy to discuss a flexible roster (i.e.- reduced hours across each day). This Administration role will be of interest to an Administrator seeking the next step in their Administration career. This position provides a higher-level support function to our FIFO team with coordination of their travel, accommodation and vehicle allocation.

We are looking for Administration Officers who are confident, friendly, and highly organised. They will:

  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, faxes and freight
  • Complete stationery orders for the Base
  • Complete uniform orders for the Base
  • Cover reception and answer and transfer phone calls to appropriate personnel
  • Complete data entry in an accurate and timely manner
  • Organise meetings and catering as required

Who are we looking for?
You will be a thorough and detailed person, possessing multitasking skills, be a team player and have a cheerful demeanour. You will have:
  • Demonstrated experience in reception/ administration and customer service
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite applications
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent time management skills with demonstrated ability to establish priorities and manage workloads within deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and achieve goals
  • High attention to detail
  • The ability to pick up new systems and databases quickly
