Description
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) in Queensland are leaders in providing access to aeromedical and primary health care services to people in remote, rural, and regional locations. As we head toward our 100th year of providing services, we are focused on providing safe, innovative clinical care and improving the patient experience.
As an exciting new opportunity, we are currently seeking an Information Governance Officer to join our team in Brisbane. We are looking for a dynamic individual to work in a Permanent Full-time basis supporting the Digital & Technology department, Information Security and Governance team.
Duties include:
- Provide support to the Information Security and Governance team in the formation and execution of Information Security & Governance framework, policy, standards.
- Support development, implementation and promotion of strategies, plans and policies across the information governance, records and privacy spaces, ensuring work aligns with priorities, relevant legislation and international conventions.
- Provide advice and training on more complex areas of information governance policy and procedures.
- Support staff on privacy issues, including assisting business to respond to privacy incidents; maintaining a register of privacy issues; oversee the development of Privacy Impact Assessments.
- Liaise with internal / external stakeholders.
- Manage (create, store and dispose) existing physical records in accordance with legislation and policy, and support the systems and processes providing management of digital records.
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
- Minimum diploma in related field (desirable)
- 2 years’ experience in an Administration or Data entry / Records Management role
- Proven ability to handle challenging operational situations by utilising well-developed problem-solving skills
- Proven attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
- Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve team-based outcomes
- The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Highly competent in maintaining confidentiality
