Description
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) (Queensland Section) is seeking a creative and strategic Digital Specialist to join the team. Known internally as a Digital Fundraising Specialist, you will work within the Fundraising and Philanthropy team to develop and enhance the capability of the digital fundraising portfolio. You will drive projects, analyse performance, and deliver on strategic goals and targets. In this role you will;
- Manage a portfolio of digital fundraising campaigns, across email, social media and search engine marketing, ensuring best practice digital fundraising is applied and fundraising and supporter engagement targets are achieved
- Drive the enhancement of fundraising campaign performance through implementation and management of digital fundraising activities (i.e., user experience, SEO, SEM, retargeting, online forms etc)
- Identify and apply opportunities for testing and growth within the Digital Fundraising portfolio, ensuring improvement of digital donor engagement, conversion and retention rates
- Measure and report on campaign performance across all digital platforms, ensuring all digital fundraising funnels are performing optimally and correctly
Who are we looking for?
You will describe yourself as a confident self-starter, who has high attention to detail, a great communicator and someone who thrives in an inclusive environment. As a Digital Fundraising Specialist, you will bring to the role:
- Minimum University degree in a relevant study area
- Demonstrated experience in meeting campaign goals and objectives (ideally in a fundraising environment)
- Proven knowledge of Google Analytics and Google suite platforms
- Proven experience in marketing automation
- Strong experience in implementing and analysing digital test results
- Ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines across multiple stakeholders
- Experience using website managing platforms such as WordPress
- Working understanding of audience segmentation and targeting
- Experience building and executing campaigns in email and SMS marketing platforms
- Experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT and Raisers Edge 7 (desirable)

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. The RFDS in Queensland provides excellence in, and access to primary health care and aeromedical services across the state. Our emergency retrieval service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, delivering the finest care to more than 330,000 Australians each year — that’s one person every two minutes! In addition to aeromedical retrievals of the critically ill or injured, the RFDS also delivers a broad range of essential primary and preventative healthcare services, including telehealth, mental health, oral health and health promotion. Primary health care now makes up two-thirds of our daily operations, as a continued emphasis on prevention is vital to see better health outcomes for those that live in the bush.
The RFDS Corporate Office is located at the Brisbane International Airport, and RFDS operates from nine operational bases located in Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Charleville, Mount Isa, Longreach and Roma.
