Description

The RFDS QLD is seeking an experienced HR professional to join the team. In this role, you will work closely with our leaders to understand organisational and workforce requirements and how they may be best delivered with the support of the P&C team. You will drive projects across the cohorts you support, that will deliver on strategic change and initiatives. In this role you will;

  • Understand business challenges, priorities and the strategic landscape and use this to support and provide solutions to achieve desired workforce outcomes and meet service and growth demands
  • As a trusted advisor, engage, listen, guide, coach and build stakeholder relationships with the organisations’ leaders
  • Support the implementation of the RFDS People and Culture Strategy by collaborating with cohort leaders, in order to embed change and influence outcomes
  • Work with Leaders to enhance a values-driven, safe employment environment and attract, engage and retain skilled employees
  • Manage complex employee relations matters in collaboration with cohort leaders which includes the provision of advice to ensure the effective application of all HR policies and processes and any changes
  • Contribute to the ongoing review, development and continuous improvement of HR processes, systems and practices to ensure efficient and effective delivery of HR services

Who are we looking for?

You will describe yourself as a confident self-starter and collaborative team member. As an experienced HR professional, you will bring to the role:
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR with experience in a similar role, providing strategic and tactical advice to leaders
  • Previous experience with implementing HR and people-based initiatives and programs with strong stakeholder management
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end core HR processes
  • Demonstrated achievement in the provision of professional HR generalist advice including employee relations, industrial relations, change management and performance management, recruitment and selection, training and development to assist in the effective realisation of business objectives.
  • Effective verbal and written and written communication

Naturally, you will be team orientated, dynamic, innovative and like to think outside the square. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to engage diverse teams and demonstrate a passion for providing high-quality customer service in rural and remote Queensland. You will describe yourself as outcome-focused, having strong values-based leadership and a systematic and logical problem-solver.

About the RFDS (Queensland Section)

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world. In Queensland, the RFDS employs approximately, 450 people ranging from pilots, doctors, nurses, engineers, allied health professionals, and a variety of administration and support services roles. The Corporate Office is located at the Brisbane International Airport, and RFDS operates from nine operational bases located in Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Charleville, Mount Isa, Longreach and Roma.

The RFDS also delivers a broad range of essential health care services to rural and remote communities, as well as emergency retrieval services.
