Description
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) is looking for skilled, passionate, and committed Technical Services Engineer (TSE) to support the Airworthiness team and perform functions related to the maintenance control of the RFDS (Queensland Section) fleet.
This service and support role will ensure all maintenance due as determined by schedule or continuous improvement is carried out in organisational timelines and with operational safety assured.
The Technical Services Engineer is a Permanent Full-Time role based in Brisbane.
Key responsibilities
Key TSE responsibilities include:
- Conduct daily/weekly assigned tasks as directed by Airworthiness Manager
- Ensure currency and relevance of technical publications and manuals
- Review of NAA websites for Airworthiness Directives issued
- Update MMS and maintenance system software workflows
- Oversight aircraft and Engine configuration controls
- Perform reviews of fleet airworthiness compliance to type certification
- Assist Technical Records Officers on accurate recording of maintenance records, aircraft logbooks, AFM, and aircraft configuration data
- Source Approval documents for introduction of modifications and structural repairs
- Promote reduction of reoccurring defects, present Reliability reports
- Introduce Preventative Maintenance initiatives
- Provide technical maintenance control advice on training syllabus and teaching modules
- Facilitate Pilot Maintenance Authority training and assessments
- Facilitate introduction of new aircraft equipment
- Provide back up to the Maintenance Watch employees
- Deputise for AOC HAAMC
To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:
- Experience on aircraft types operated by the Section (Beechcraft King Air models)
- Understanding of aviation regulatory compliance
- Minimum 5 years aircraft maintenance experience
- Aviation Leadership experience
- Supply chain inventory familiarity
- Proven attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
- Proven ability to work autonomously and within a team to establish priorities and meet deadlines
- Availability for on call requests after hours/ weekends for fleet defect determination advice QLD wide
- Availability for travel to support RFDS operations QLD wide
- B1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) Licence
- QLD Drivers Licence
- Qualified to hold CASA Form 4 – CAM and Airworthiness Review Employee
