Description
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) are leaders in providing access to aeromedical and primary health care services to people in remote, rural, and regional locations. In our journey towards our 100th year of providing services, we are committed to providing the finest care in the furthest corner.
Due to internal movement, the RFDS has an exciting new role for a People & Culture Business Partner (P&CBP) to join the team in Brisbane. The P&CBP will assist our Mental Health and Wellbeing Services, which include several specialised teams that provide psychological therapy and tailored programs for rural and remote Queenslanders, as well as young people in Cairns.
In this role, the senior generalist will support and partner with managers on employee-related activities across the employee life cycle, including:
- Advisory, strategy and operational support to Leaders and employees;
- Provision of the full range of P&C services, including industrial relations; grievance resolution; performance management, change management and more;
- Coaching and supporting Managers and the wider team;
- Rollout to managers and staff on a broad range of P&C initiatives and projects.
This is a permanent, part-time position (0.6FTE) with flexible work options, including working across
three days or shorter hours throughout the week and working from home.
To be considered for this role it is essential you meet the criteria below:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or Organisational Psychology
- Extensive demonstrated experience in generalist HR roles with sound knowledge of contemporary HR strategies and practices, experience in mental health is desirable
- Experience in the development and implementation of HR strategy and policy
- Strong knowledge and understanding of relevant Acts, legislation and regulations
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining highly effective stakeholder relationships
- Well-developed communication skills including the capacity to influence and negotiate
- Well-developed research, conceptual and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret organisational policies, procedures, industrial agreements and relevant legislation
- Experience using a HRIS
