Description

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Digital & Technology team. In this role, you will oversee strategic growth projects in the Digital Transformation Program that focus on streamlining systems, integrating them, and utilising new technology.

The Project Manager is a full-time position on a maximum term contract of 12 months based in Brisbane.

Key responsibilities
The Project Manager will-

  • Be the key point of liaison between the project team, business management, and key stakeholders
  • Use project management tools to plan, monitor, and report to the stakeholders on the progress of the project
  • Plan and oversee a project from the initial ideation stage through to completion
  • Identify and mitigate risks that may impact the successful delivery of the project
  • Provide effective leadership to the project team and manage the scheduling of tasks and performance of resources seconded into the project.

Who we are looking for?
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or equivalent experience required
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Experience leading projects in a complex business environment
  • Certification as a Project Management Practitioner is desirable
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong problem solving and time management skills
  • Experience in managing organisational change and managing end user communications
  • Demonstrated ability to build a strong committed project team
