Description
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) is a leader in providing access to aeromedical and primary health care services to people in regional, rural and remote locations. With a refreshed vision and a new look Corporate Affairs team, we have an exciting newly created opportunity for a Senior Public Relations Advisor.
The Senior Public Relations Advisor will:
- Produce and distribute compelling media releases and stories
- Engage with the media to promote campaigns and increase brand exposure
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders
- Support internal stakeholders when participating in radio or camera interviews
- Monitor and evaluate media to gauge success and identify improvements that will strengthen the organisation’s communication goals.
The Senior Public Relations Advisor is a full-time position based in Queensland.
Who we are looking for?
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
- Qualifications in Media, Marketing, Public Relations, Communication, or a closely related field
- Strong communication and stakeholder and customer engagement skills
- Demonstrated experience in successful collaborations on projects with multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in liaising with media and journalists
- Experience in working with agencies and maximising results

RFDS (Queensland Section) works with vulnerable patients in remote parts of Queensland and provides an essential service to many regional and remote communities. To ensure the health and safety of our staff, our patients, and these communities, as well as to manage the risks involved in service delivery and COVID-19 transmission in these communities and our workplaces, our staff are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19. If you are the successful candidate the requirement to be vaccinated against COVID-19, including maintaining any recommended booster requirements, will be a term of your employment, as will the requirement to provide proof of vaccination.
Successful candidates will be subject to a Police Check and candidates are required to hold a current, unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence. There may be a requirement to undertake intrastate travel with overnight stays.
