Description

The role of Risk and Assurance Administrator will assist the Risk and Assurance team (R&A) in the day-to-day administration of Workplace Health and Safety, Environment, Quality and Risk Management for Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS). In addition, this role will assist with the implementation and monitoring of the RFDS Integrated Management Systems. This role will support the provision of safe, efficient, economic and environmentally sound facilities to all RFDS Bases across the region.

The Risk and Assurance Administrator is a part-time position based in Townsville or Cairns. This role is maximum term contract working a 3-day week until June 2022, with the possibility of an extension.

Key responsibilities
Your key responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Co-ordinating meetings including setting of agendas, minute taking and distribution of minutes
  • Provide support to the R&A Team in the areas of safety, risk, quality and environment
  • Support the R&A team and the RFDS for accreditation
  • Assist with policy and procedure development, review, formatting and updating
  • Coordinate, manage and compiling of formal internal reports
  • Contribute to business improvement/quality programs and enterprise risk management activities
  • Assist with communications and liaise effectively with key stakeholders

Who we are looking for?
To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and within a team
  • Administrative experience
  • Experience with the ability to learn incident and/or risk database entry
  • Experience in or the ability to learn report writing and general administrative tasks
  • Would suit those looking for flexible part-time work, such as graduates and students

Qualifications/Registrations

  • Certificate Level in relevant field
  • Current QLD Drivers Licence

Successful candidates will be subject to a Police Check, may be required to undergo a medical assessment and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. Candidates are required to hold a current, unrestricted Australian driver's licence and obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card).

RFDS (Queensland Section) works with vulnerable patients in remote parts of Queensland and provides an essential service to many regional and remote communities. To ensure the health and safety of our staff, our patients and these communities, as well as to manage the risks involved in service delivery and COVID-19 transmission in these communities and our workplaces, our staff are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
