Description

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) is looking for a Clinical Resources Support Officer for our Cairns RFDS Base. This role is a permanent, part time opportunity located near the Cairns Airport. This newly created role is a 0.6 full-time equivalent roster, designed to support the team 3 days per week, with some flexibility on days and working hours.

Cairns RFDS Base is the largest and one of the longest serving bases in the RFDS network. Cairns RFDS provides remote medical consultations, aeromedical retrievals and primary health care clinics incorporating general practice, child and family health, Indigenous health, mental health, women's health, and health promotion.

Job Description
The Clinical Resources Support Officer manages the clinical resources for the Primary Healthcare and Aeromedical nursing teams. This role has the following key responsibilities;

• Conducts stocktakes of clinical resources including medical consumables, medications, vaccines, PPE supplies and oxygen supplies
• Dispatches, receives, stores, and prepares clinical resources
• Assists with quality checks and maintenance of medical equipment
• Conducts clinical resource audits as required
• Schedule’s servicing, restocking and/or repairs of clinical resources to meet required timeframes
• Updates clinical resources maintenance records and maintains medical asset registers
• Updates and adheres to medical equipment checklists

Who we are looking for:
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:

• Diploma of Nursing- Enrolled Nurse or a Health Services Assistant Certification (or similar)
• Demonstrated ability to provide multifaceted support to a multidisciplinary team
• Highly developed administration skills including precise data entry and records management
• Exceptional planning, time management and prioritisation skills
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, independently problem solve and be intuitive for items of escalation
• Previous experience in managing clinical resources, logistics and asset management
• Previous experience with pharmaceutical and clinical supply procurement
