Description

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) in Queensland provides excellence in, and access to, primary health care and aeromedical services across Queensland. The Clinical Governance Team have an opportunity for a Clinical Administration Officer in a permanent, full time capacity based in Brisbane.

The Clinical Administration Officer provides high level administrative support and clinical governance functions across the organisation to assist with operationalising and maintaining the clinical governance framework.

Key Duties-

  • Administer release of information in accordance with relevant legislation, policy, and statutory requirements
  • Support clinician credentialing processes (as required)
  • Lead the consumer liaison function ensuring all consumer feedback items are recorded, investigated, and responded to
  • Coordinate and manage the Clinical Risk Register
  • Provide accurate and timely administrative and support services to the Clinical Governance team and the broader Risk & Assurance teams
  • Organise and coordinate clinical governance related meetings, including agendas, confidential minute taking and tracking of action items

Who we are looking for?
To be successful in this role you will have
  • Demonstrated experience in a Healthcare administration environment (Essential)
  • Knowledge regarding clinical governance systems and processes. For example- health information systems; medicolegal requests; consumer feedback; patient safety; clinician credentialing; quality improvement and accreditation (Highly Desirable)
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications particularly Word and Excel
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties autonomously to ensure the achievement of team goals
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively operate new systems, processes, and data bases
