Description
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) has a new and exciting role for a Senior ICT Systems Engineer. This role reports to the ICT Operations Manager, is based at Brisbane Airport and is a permanent full-time opportunity.
The Senior ICT Systems Engineer will proactively investigate and respond to operational and security incidents, identify risks to the IT environment, and provide input for implementing security risk mitigation activities and assist in the deployment of new technologies.
The Senior ICT Systems Engineer also contributes to the management of ICT infrastructure and information systems, ensuring delivery of ICT services and systems, and supporting a sustainable ICT environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage the RFDS ICT security monitoring and related systems
- Ensure cloud-based systems are available and key systems are maintained
- Continually review potential security risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Contribute to the overall ICT strategy to align with company objectives
- Manage assigned ICT problems, identifying root cause and develop resolution strategies
- Plan and manage system changes for the maintenance and advancement of the ICT environment
- Explore new ideas, support innovation, and work with the team and leader to implement changes that add value and improve service delivery
Who are we looking for?
- Extensive experience in ICT operations and/or support functions
- Exceptional technical knowledge of hardware and software solutions and how it is applied to business processes
- Demonstrated experience in Cloud technologies, such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Demonstrated experience in Security software/ hardware technologies
- Advanced experience with Active Directory, Exchange Online, Mimecast, Anti-virus, patch management, CASB solutions and Office 365 platform
- Experience with reporting and scripting (Powershell)
- Experience in Change and Incident Management
