Description
Reporting to Base Support Manager the Administration Officer provides general administration and base support services to ensure the efficient functioning of Cairns Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Base. The Administration Officer is a permanent full-time opportunity.
Duties will include;
- Providing administration support to the Clinical teams (as required)
- Provide support and mentorship to Administration Officers as needed
- Coordinating financial administration tasks
The Administration Officer coordinates financial administration tasks such as;
- Coding of all base invoices into RFDS Accounts Payable system
- Reconciling transactions
- Receipting and Banking of donations
- Managing the Petty Cash Float and reconciling receipts
- Ensuring all expense claims are completed and emailed to finance for reimbursement
Who we are looking for?
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience working in complex / finance systems, possess accurate data entry skills, high attention to detail and be customer focused. You will also possess:
- Certificate or Diploma in Administration (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in an Administration role
- Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and meet deadlines

Services provided from this Base include remote medical consultations, aeromedical retrievals and primary health care clinics incorporating general practice, child and family health, Indigenous health, mental health, women's health and health promotion.
