Description
Reporting to Base Support Manager the Administration Officer provides a full range of effective and efficient administration support to the Cairns Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Base.
This role is a full-time opportunity on a maximum term contract of 12 months.
Duties will include;
- Complete data entry in an accurate and timely manner
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, faxes and freight
- Complete stationary and uniform orders for the Base
- Coordinate Base vehicles including carrying out odometer readings and organising servicing requirements
- Provide non-clinical administration support including assisting with Medicare billing
- Cover reception duties as required
- Schedule patient appointments
- Organise meetings and conduct minute-taking as required

To be successful in this role you will have a desire to grow in administration, possess multitasking skills and be eager to learn new work practises. You will also possess:
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite applications
- High degree of customer service
- Time management skills with the ability to establish priorities and manage workloads

Services provided from this Base include remote medical consultations, aeromedical retrievals and primary health care clinics incorporating general practice, child and family health, Indigenous health, mental health, women's health and health promotion.

This role will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, will be subject to criminal history check, may require a preemployment medical and will require to be eligible to receive and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
