Job Description
The Rostering Manager is responsible for developing fit for purpose rostering models to improve rostering processes and practices across Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) (Queensland Section). The Rostering Manager will engage with key business stakeholders to understand operational and regulatory/ compliance requirements and identify issues by cohort or geography to effectively match specialist staff with business requirements.
The Rostering Manager is a full- time maximum term of 18 months (with the possibility of extension) based in Brisbane.
Key responsibilities
Your key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Develop an operational framework of compliant, commercially efficient rostering across RFDS bases
- Provide process improvements and recommendations to the Executive General Managers (EGM’s) including more effective management of costs and labour
- Collaborate with EGM’s, Finance, Operational Managers and Rostering Staff to implement an integrated rostering function
Who we are looking for?
To be successful in this role you will possess the following:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications i.e. Business or Finance
- Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of a centralised rostering function
- Ability to interpret Enterprise Agreement and Award conditions and apply to rostering practices
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and develop remote working teams
- Rostering experience in the Health and/ or Aviation Sectors
- Understanding of Health and/ or Aviation regulatory and compliance requirements as related to workforce management
- Experience with automated rostering systems and software
- Extensive experience with wider change management
